Fantastic Half-Day Tour with Summer Cruises Mauritius
We had an absolutely fantastic half-day excursion today with Summer Cruises Mauritius. We booked a private four-hour tour for our family of ten, departing directly from the beach at our hotel (Shandrani) at 9:30am, and it truly exceeded expectations.
Our guide, Dominique, was exceptional — knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about both Mauritius and the ocean. What stood out most was his genuine respect for marine life and the environment, which added so much meaning to the experience.
During the trip we were lucky enough to see dolphins, turtles (yes — turtles twice!), monkeys, a beautiful waterfall, and a stunning island stop that felt like something from a postcard. We also visited an area where coral is being restored and replanted to encourage new growth, which was fascinating and inspiring to see, especially given how much coral has sadly been lost. Dominique explained everything with care and real insight.
The sea conditions were calm and comfortable thanks to the protective reef surrounding much of Mauritius, making the trip enjoyable and relaxed for everyone in our group.
This was a truly memorable experience and I would 100% recommend Summer Cruises Mauritius — especially if you are considering a private hire with family or friends. Thank you for such a wonderful day!

Oliver hat uns nicht zuviel versprochen: es war ein wunderschöner Tag im Paradies Mauritius. Unser Trip startete im Hotel Shandrani Beachcomber (wir waren nur zu zweit). Wir wurden von Kapitän Dominique abgeholt und er hat uns einen wundervollen Tag kreiert: ein sehr sympathischer und flexibler Mann, mit dem wir uns sehr gut unterhalten haben und der uns zu wunderschönen einsamen Schnorchelspots brachte. Wir hatten Lunch auf einer kleinen Insel und wurden dort auch sehr gut bewirtet. Wir können diesen Trip nur wärmstens empfehlen!!!

It’s our second year doing Oliver’s boat cruise. Both times we had a different skipper but every time they’ve been amazing. This time we had Captain Ryan that seriously made the trip special. You can see he loves being on the water and being with people. He played us amazing music, made us delicious cocktails and was just super fun as a tour guide and captain! I’ve tried other operators on the island and honestly don’t waste your time. Oliver delivers once in a lifetime trips every single time!

Inutile de chercher mieux ailleurs ! Dominique, notre skippeur était absolument parfait. A l'écoute, attentif, passionné, partageant ses connaissances de son ile. Un trip sur l'eau au rythme de la mer. Dominique connait le lagon par coeur et s'adapte en fonction des éléments. Loin des sorties à fond, dans le bruit des moteurs et de la musique. On découvre et apprécie de prendre le temps de contempler cet environnement magique. Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir passer quelques heures sur l'eau avec Dominique et nous le conseillons sans aucune réserve à tous ceux qui veulent s'offrir un very good trip dans ce magnifique lagon.

Amazing experience!
We had an absolutely amazing half-day speedboat tour today in Mauritius. The weather was beautiful and the seas were calm, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. What really made the day special, though, was our tour guide, Dominique. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely warm and welcoming from start to finish. We visited some incredible sites, including a stunning natural coral reef, and were lucky enough to see sea turtles, dolphins, and even monkeys. Hearing about the history of the areas we visited and the conservation efforts going into protecting the marine environment was fascinating and added so much depth to the trip. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and one I’d recommend to absolutely anyone visiting Mauritius. A massive thank you to Dominique for such a brilliant day on the water.

Nous sommes partis directement depuis la plage de l’Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa, ce qui est un vrai luxe, pour une sortie bateau de 9h à 13h parfaitement organisée. Un immense merci au capitaine Dominique, professionnel, passionné et très attentionné, qui a largement contribué à rendre cette matinée inoubliable. Au programme : visite de la cascade, découverte de l’Île aux Cerfs, exploration d’une épave impressionnante et snorkeling magique à l’Île aux Aigrettes. Les spots étaient magnifiques, le matériel de snorkeling de qualité et les explications claires et intéressantes. Tout était fluide, convivial et parfaitement sécurisé. Une excursion au top, idéale pour découvrir les merveilles du lagon mauricien. Nous recommandons Summer Wings les yeux fermés et referons appel à eux sans hésiter lors d’un prochain séjour ! 🌊🐠🚤

Great boat trips with friendly professional crew
We booked two snorkelling sessions with Summer Wings and enjoyed the experience very much. Our skipper was Dominique and he was great. Very friendly and professional and looked after us well. During the trip we were offered drinks and the trip was tailored to our needs. We enjoyed snorkelling around the Ile aux Augrette very much. There is still some live coral and lots of marine life. All in all very enjoyable and would recommend Summer Wings for a great boat trips.

Bateau partagé pour journée dans le lagon, prix, départ du Shandrani
Bateau partagé pour la journée dans le lagon jusqu'à l'île aux cerfs, mais ça ne nous as pas gêné, au contraire, et ils font appel aux bateaux Aquasoleil (merci au capitaine Ryan, super gars drôle et sympa), basés au Shandrani au bout des pistes de l'aéroport. Si on est client de cet hôtel, donc sans taxi à prendre, le tarif est très compétitif (on a payé 70€/pers en nov25, repas simple inclus). Oliver est là le matin sur la plage, à la sortie du buffet petit-déj, pour vendre ses excursions. Petit hors-bord bien rapide, par contre !!! reportez l'excursion si le temps est incertain car la pluie cinglante à haute vitesse est drôle, certes, mais on a eu très très froid ! Et le lagon sous les nuages est moins beau ! Donc soyez attentif à ça ! Et protégez-vous du soleil, mais ils vous le rappelle sur leur site. Repas simple mais bien, boissons incluses; pas mal de monde à certains arrêts. Mais globalement, belle sortie à faire !

We deden een halve dag privé boottocht inclusief (alcoholische) drank. Wat een vriendelijkheid man was de schipper, Dominique! Hij is echt een topper, behulpzaam en weet veel te vertellen. Daarnaast zorgt hij voor een relaxte sfeer. Er is geen haast qua tijd en we konden zelf min of meer aangeven wat we wilden doen. Echt een aanrader om een boottrip bij hen te doen!
